Palawan

We’re a week into our (two-week) visit to the Philippines.

We spent three days in Palawan (none of us had ever been). The visit was way too short–I really wanted to go island hopping but we basically only had time to hang out at the hotel (Astoria–beautiful and remote) and check out the Underground River.

The Underground River was breathtaking and awesome in the true sense of the word. It was, however, super super touristy.

Still, it was a really special time.

I'm middle school English teacher in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Before moving to Asia, I reported statewide news for a Pennsylvania public radio station. I've lived in five countries and traveled to dozens. I really enjoy rearranging my furniture.
